The computation is placed below the Calculate
button. It only displays three output
fields, the
Employer's Share, the Employee's Share and the Total Pag-IBIG Contribution you should pay in your account as a
member.
For example, you are an employee of a company. You'll split the payment with the company you are working for and you as an employee. It's a 50/50 share according to rules.
The total contribution rate is set at 4% which is being equally carried. A percentage share of 2% by the employer and 2% for the employee.
If you are earning ₱25,000 a month, your Pag-Ibig deduction is ₱200 and your company's counterpart is also ₱200.
Why is that? The percentage equivalent of 2% against your ₱25,000 should be ₱500. Which means your monthly paycheck deduction should reflect -₱500 with the same counterpart with the company totaling ₱1,000 contribution a month.
This is not the case because the MAXIMUM Monthly Fund Salary (MFS) is set at ₱10,000. So even if your salary is ₱25,000 the computation is still based on this maximum cap.
Therefore, the maximum contribution is pegged at ₱200 for employer, ₱200 for employee.
What about Voluntary or Self-Employer Members?
If you are a voluntary of self-employed, you don't have an employer to help you split the payment, this means that you have to pay it alone. If your salary is more than ₱10,000 which the maximum limit, you have to pay the ₱400 solely.
The computation on this calculator is based on this PAG-IBIG Contribution Table.
Monthly Salary | Employee Share | Employer Share | Total Contribution |
---|---|---|---|
₱1,500 and below | 1% | 2% | 3% |
Over ₱1,500 – ₱10,000 (max) | 2% | 2% | 4% |
Over ₱10,000 | ₱200 (fixed cap) | ₱200 (fixed cap) | ₱400 (fixed cap) |
